complypic charges a one-time US$4.99 for a compliant biometric photo. If a consulate, embassy or service center (BLS, VFS Global, CGI, IRCC, etc.) rejects the photo, we refund the full amount through PayPal within 24 business hours. No paperwork beyond proof.

What we promise

Every complypic photo is generated against the exact spec the destination consulate publishes — outer dimensions, head height, background, recency. The validator runs before payment, so a photo that fails our internal checks never reaches you.

If the consulate still rejects the photo for a reason that traces back to its dimensions, background or composition, we refund the full US$4.99. We do not ask you to reorder, exchange, or take a re-shoot.

What counts as a refundable rejection

• Consulate, embassy, immigration office or visa application service center rejects the photo at the appointment.
• Online portal (DS-160, COVA, ANTS, IRCC, etc.) returns a photo-validation error referring to dimensions, background, head positioning or facial composition.
• The application is rescheduled or held specifically because of the photo.

What is not covered

• The application is rejected for reasons unrelated to the photo (incomplete forms, unpaid fees, missing supporting documents, wrong appointment slot).
• The photo was modified, cropped, color-adjusted or printed by a third party after delivery.
• The user uploaded a selfie that did not match the expected pose (eyes closed, severe tilt, obstructed face) and was warned at validation but proceeded anyway.

How to claim a refund

1. Open the contact page and select the topic 'Report a problem'.
2. Attach a photo of the rejection slip, a screenshot of the portal error, or a confirmation that the appointment was rescheduled because of the photo.
3. Include the email used at checkout and the order reference (in the PayPal receipt).

Service level

We refund within 24 business hours of receiving valid proof. PayPal returns funds to the original payment method instantly once we issue the refund — typical settlement is 0-3 business days depending on your card issuer.
